History of Medicine and Homeopathy:
Fundamental Concepts

Hahnemann is well-known as the founder of homeopathy and the person who developed the homeopathic laws. We look to him and to those who followed him for our understanding of the important aspects of homeopathic philosophy. The course teaches how homeopathic thought has its origins in Hippocrates, generally seen as the father of Western Medicine. It will show how homeopathy was ahead of its time in many ways -- it was scientific right from its founding, and it was the first to train women doctors at its homeopathic schools. The course will explore how homeopathy and allopathy (conventional medicine) have paralleled one another over the past centuries and also how the new Quantum physics has contributed to a new understanding of the workings of homeopathic remedies.

Emergency Homeopathy

Get a basic understanding of homeopathy and its use in first aid. Learn the principles of homeopathy as a system of medicine and some 40 remedies that can be used around the home. This course uses case examples to bring the remedies to life for you and help you distinguish between them. Students will use this knowledge to assess two first aid cases and discuss them in class.
